thanksgiving 2021 was one to remember! we were blessed to have almost the whole family together. we also celebrated the news of the future addition to our family. the family needed a new excuse to party in the shed together.

another one growing too fast! dude you are nine!! how did that happen?!
samuel, you have the biggest heart and sometimes the deepest thoughts. you recently told us one of your best friends could never be replaced, “he’s one of a kind” you said. you still request ketchup for most of our meals. you choose pb and j over anything else most of the time, unless it’s chicken nuggets. you amaze me with your comprehension skills when reading through your history lessons. you love creating competitions for you and your cousins next get together. you l o v e creating things from anything. if there a piece of anything laying around you quickly ask… ” can i have it? ” with a grin. you l o v e so hard and you are such a good person to ask for prayers from. you will stick to your word and always keep that person in prayer. it really is a beautiful gift you give. we are so incredibly blessed to be your parents. happy birthday samuel fulton. you, sweet boy, are one of a kind.

our fall birthday bash for the boys turned into a weekend surprise for them instead.
we took a road trip to take the boys to see dude perfect with their cousins in oklahoma. i’m not sure who had more fun, the boys or us mamas. it was so much fun. we would do it all over again if we could. the smile on these sweet boys faces just made me melt. the little girls were in heaven just playing together at the house. icing on the cake for maximilian was hanging out with the college kids in dallas not only on the way up to oklahoma but also on the way back home. this pregnant mama couldnt make the long drive home 😬
i love watching your relationships with your cousins get stronger and stronger. you kids are so blessed to have them.

spring was packed with school and our first go at spring season football! daddy also had a season of rugby so it made our weekends pretty exciting. maximilian you got your first official hair cut. that was adventurous! we enjoyed meet ups with friends that we dont always get to see, which made mama’s heart so happy! we celebrated Easter weekend out in brazos country. samuel received the sacrament of reconciliation for the first time which was so special. we finished up first communion preparation right before the end of the semester. we did a lot of growing and learning. we enjoyed the seasons changing and things warming up 🙂 what a season!

this christmas was so what we all wanted and needed. we were ready for the end of 2020 and we just wanted so badly to be safe and all together. again God provided. we soaked up every bit of our time together and mama and daddy even were able to get away for our twelfth anniversary!! the christmas season is one of my absolute favorites and as you kids get older it is even more exciting to watch you get excited to decorate and remember traditions from years before. i pray most of all that as you enjoy preparing all the things you also make sure to prepare your heart most of all.

we had been quarantined basically for three months, all husbands started working from home and bans were lifted a little. first communions began to be celebrated so we went up to oklahoma to celebrate jude and seth. it was truly what we all needed. it was so hard to come back to reality after that weekend…

merry christmas and a very happy new year! what a year 2019 was for us as a family. we reflected so much on what a year it’s been for us growing in all areas.
jack anthony you have really grown so much, mentally, spiritually and physically. this last year you grew up through a move, receiving your first confession as well as your first holy communion. you really impressed us on the field in football this year too! we know it’s your first love. you are the best third grader ever. rca has helped you in the areas i knew you needed the most. you have become much more confident in your work and we couldn’t be more proud of you! you also have grown more in love with your siblings. i know you wouldn’t call it love but listening to you and samuel laughing so hard and talking at night makes this mama so happy. you are a good kid jack.
samuel fulton, your heart couldn’t grown any bigger if it tried. you have lost your place as middle child this year and now share it with anna kate. im not so sure y’all share it well though 😂… i absolutely love your relationship with jack and your relationship with anna kate. you are the best brother to each of them knowing how to play seriously at times with jack and just get fully imaginative with anna kate. maximilian is your “go to” to cuddle with. you have done so well with rca this year. you are really good at working on your own and still staying so creative. you are the best when we ask for prayers always remembering to pray for people by name each night. this year we learned that bohemian rhapsody is dangerous to play when you are around. so glad to capture you with a shirt on.
anna kate frances, my girl! you are the sweetest sister the boys could ask for. all of them. i love watching you with maximilian. he adores you and your room! you are my go to when i need help. you know just how i like things put away or where to find anything we are looking for. unlike the boys, i only have to ask you for things one time and you are off to actually do it or look for it. it amazes me every time. i am so excited for this year head for you! you may try your first dance class and are so excited about it.
maximilian augustine! you proved to me that “another baby” to the mix wasn’t just another baby. you were the first baby that did not allow me to eat as i please. you also decided i was the only one who could hold you for quiet some time. you are our little answered prayer in so many ways. you challenged us in our parenting skills but i couldn’t be more thankful for all we worked hard on this year. oh man how i love you so much. people give me a hard time because you always want me, however, i know this phase will pass one day so i just embrace it and love the feeling of being just that needed ♥️ or wanted.
life is beautiful, it’s messy at times, also full of chaos and sometimes leaves us begging for a very early bedtime. but to know this is our vocation, this is what we get to call our family and our home. we are so blessed. looking forward to what this new year will bring.

we had an early birthday for you miss anna kate! your cousins were at granny’s so we jumped on the opportunity to celebrate with them. i am so glad we did. it was so much fun to watch you enjoy every bit of this party time with them. you enjoyed pizza, cake, ice cream and presents! erika and bailey gave everyone a kitty face that was purrr-fect. we enjoyed watching watching aristocats afterwards and relaxing ….
