and boy was it intense.
waiting for the weather to warm up, baseball season, two teams, taekwondo, a new pair of kittens, a trip back home for spring break and a beautiful easter season… daddy and i quickly learned how to multi task and to appreciate the simple life. 🙂 it was a fun semester but a little too busy for this family. we are so proud of all we accomplished this semester especially our boys, way to go! by the way, your sister deserves an award for best support 🙂

mendy and dana made a wonderful german spread. we had live music and good cheer all around the room. we were so relieved iwe could keep it all a surprise.
daddy, you are one of the greatest gifts to our family! we love you so much! we had so much fun celebrating you. I think we all want to go back today (your actual birthday) and celebrate again! although, I think you and mama might really cry if we all showed up again tonight 😂…

another christmas celebrated with all of the cousins. sixteen to be exact 🙂 it was so much fun as always. everyone managed to stay healthy! {yay} we managed to fit in only three rows at christmas eve mass. we also managed to have more food than we have ever had afterwards…
the kids did an another amazing job with their christmas pageant and of course created a new tradition when opening their presents. this year they chanted each other’s name faster and faster as each present was opened. these kids are the best big and small. with just a little bit of sleep on christmas eve, we all enjoyed lots of coffee and laughs christmas morning as the kids played all morning with what santa clause brought them. we sang happy birthday to Jesus and then as we always do, each family packed up to head to see more family!
this year was extra special to go see nana! it was her first christmas in the new house. it was beautiful and great new memories were made. it has been a year full of blessings for our family.

from your football game to more football games in the gattiland room … you had a football themed birthday again. 😜 and after gattiland, we came home to more Sunday afternoon football and your choice of hamburgers and chips.

we surprised daddy with a wolverine party, a huge spicy hamburger and tons of legos to build for his birthday this year.
what would we do without him! so grateful for another birthday with him and all the new adventures we take together. we left the following weekend for a birthday in a cabin in new mexico. it was a great break from the intense heat in west texas. we also just loved getting away from the norm too! it was so much fun and so good for all of us to enjoy new scenery together.

well, we made our yearly summer trip to bc joining in with our cousins for a week and a half. we packed in as much fun as we could! from vbs, to late night evenings, a birthday party or two and our annual frozen yogurt date with the whole crew. we had a blast and ended up leaving on grannys birthday…
nothing like sweet summer time with the sweetest of friends and family!

it’s been such a fun summer. i can’t believe this weekend has already come and gone… we kept it simple and stayed in. we made lots of yummy food, had lots of dance parties and watched a few storms pass through. the boys declared this was “the best day ever.” they are so awesome…

what an awesome opportunity God gave us this past holy week and easter weekend! our cousins in kc participated in family missions and invited us to join them! it was a very busy weekend but oh my goodness so beautiful! the families were able to clean up the church grounds, visit the near by nursing home and assisted living and also collect canned goods during door to door missions. we celebrated easter vigil mass with many tired babies in our two rows at church but it was so worth it. easter sunday was not like the ones we had celebrated before. we enjoyed taking our time throughout the day and watching the kids play together. we ate a very late easter lunch and it made for the best memories! thank you kindle and kent for hosting us and letting us take part in such a special event at your parish.
also thank you to holly and travis for letting us enjoy a nights stay {and more cousin play} at your house on the way back. otherwise i don’t know how well i could have done that drive home…
