daddy started a new semester and we went along for the ride on his first week back.
the boys got some play time in with cousins and us girls got to do some shopping 🙂
and we also snuck in some ear piercing! oh anna kate, that was by far the saddest cry i have ever heard from you, but it also ended quickly as granny gave you your first sucker. 🙂
that night we celebrated gramps’ birthday { a few days late } 🙂
as quick of a trip it was, we packed in so much to celebrate!

i couldn’t help but think of how happy our gramps and granny would be to know that we can still get together like this to enjoy these little moments.

anna kate you don’t look that thrilled… but i think you were pretty happy to meet your aunt and two of your other cousins!
the flight there wasn’t as easy as when your big brothers were babies on flights. i think it got to your ears a little bit more. plus, i’m learning that you are just really a girl and you don’t want to miss a thing.
people are so helpful and friendly when you have a baby in tow…
we got to chad and mendy’s late that evening. you had a great nights rest and were ready for a brand new day the next morning. you enjoyed meeting some of your fur cousins and they wanted to get to know everything about you! mainly your toys 🙂

we had such a great time on this trip it was just the get away we needed. a time to stop and enjoy some of our family that we miss so much and just regroup before the holidays. dana and i wish so bad that we could make this a tradition. we are so glad we got this chance!
we enjoyed a day of shopping and meeting santa and a rather yummy southern dinner.

a big thank you to chad and mendy for being such great hosts, as always! it was such a great visit. of course it was so hard to leave their house not knowing the next time we will make it up there. we are already looking forward to seeing them again during our summer vacation. as for this little traveler…

what a fun weekend we had. friday night granny and aunt colleen came up so daddy and i could sneak away to his christmas party…

the rest of the weekend we spent preparing the house a little more for christmas…
and anna kate also had her first visit from st. nicholas!
she was pretty thrilled st. nicholas skipped the chocolate coins and candy canes and went with a little toothbrush for those gums of hers…
christmas is only a few weeks away. we are making our list and checking it twice… 😉

four months
sweet anna kate, yes its winter but i had. HAD. to show off these thighs.
my little roly poly is four months old and i feel like the time is just going by so fast. you still love being held but we are finding you more and more content just playing with toys on the floor or in one of your contraptions. i officially moved you to the pack n’ play. i know a whole 8 feet from my bed. oh my. but hey it’s a step.

we still are unsure of your eye color but we know they are pretty so i’ll just watch them change day to day. i hate to jinx myself but i feel like your niagara falls of spit up is slowing down a little bit. or else i’m just really use to it. you are laughing a little bit more lately mainly at your brothers. yes they still love you and smother you but you let them know when you have had enough.
so many firsts with this age and most of yours is all the holidays …. can’t wait to celebrate your first christmas in a few weeks. get ready for alot of lovin’ from all your cousins!

our first one in the new house 🙂
it was rainy and cold outside but inside was so warm and smelled so good 🙂
jack, you ate many rolls… and enjoyed having your very own glass of tea. samuel you enjoyed a roll and then it was off to play. you all came back for pie later that evening.
morning mass and an afternoon of preparing a late lunch… this mama had a good time in her kitchen. so thankful for our new little addition this year. anna kate, we took a much needed nap together after lunch 🙂

almost a year later and we finally made a night out as a family to one of mamas favorite places.
to top it off the boys received compliments from the people next to us at the restaurant, that can always give mama and daddy a boost!

yes we are crazy. but yes it was totally worth it.
the day after the boys birthday party, bailey was my partner in crime and helped me make the trip up to oklahoma to surprise holly for emily’s first birthday. unfortunately, we were surprised ourselves when holly said she couldn’t be around us because she had just been running a fever that afternoon 🙁 . luckily, all we got were bad allergies and complete exhaustion. 🙂 but the kids had a blast and we had so much fun celebrating this little sweet heart…

yeah this went way too fast. i still don’t understand how pregnancy seems to crawlllll by…and then the moment you see their sweet face you can’t slow anything down. sweet girl you’ve been a joy this first month. you love to eat. you spit up insanely. i am very thankful we have less carpet in this new house. you have been waking up about 2 am and 5 am and maybe squeeze in a little 7 am squirming session. you are very serious for the camera. no one has seen the few smiles and “coos” you have given me. i’ll just consider it our little girl time/secret. the boys are madly in love with you just as we are.

granny came to stay with us last week! she spoiled us all. she helped us make our first trip to the grocery store and even let mama and daddy have a lunch date 🙂 after anna kate’s first doctor visit.
anna kate, at two weeks old you weighed in at 7lbs 13 ounces. you are a great nurser and spit up like crazy, even more so than jack did. {which means a lot} you had your first vaccine and blood work done.. mama and daddy did not like having to watch you do those things 🙁 we enjoyed a yummy lunch at coopers barbecue afterwards to celebrated daddy’s birthday a little early.
you got your first piece of mail this week 🙂
i’m not too sure you were happy that the boys asked about your band-aid… you had been poked and prodded enough that morning 🙂
thank you so much granny for all of your help! we enjoyed the visit and the extra helping hands! {especially making my floors so lively 😉 } what a treat!
