so yes, i have been drafting posts for a while until i had all the photos working … now mama updated her phone and i feel like i can almost catch up!
anna kate, sweet girl, had her first atrium today. we are making a drive to make it work on our fridays but this mama loves this program to much to miss out on it. afterwards we celebrated with sonic. maximilian recognizes a red straw and it’s kind of scary… hes not even nine months yet.

well, we made our yearly summer trip to bc joining in with our cousins for a week and a half. we packed in as much fun as we could! from vbs, to late night evenings, a birthday party or two and our annual frozen yogurt date with the whole crew. we had a blast and ended up leaving on grannys birthday…
nothing like sweet summer time with the sweetest of friends and family!

what an awesome opportunity God gave us this past holy week and easter weekend! our cousins in kc participated in family missions and invited us to join them! it was a very busy weekend but oh my goodness so beautiful! the families were able to clean up the church grounds, visit the near by nursing home and assisted living and also collect canned goods during door to door missions. we celebrated easter vigil mass with many tired babies in our two rows at church but it was so worth it. easter sunday was not like the ones we had celebrated before. we enjoyed taking our time throughout the day and watching the kids play together. we ate a very late easter lunch and it made for the best memories! thank you kindle and kent for hosting us and letting us take part in such a special event at your parish.
also thank you to holly and travis for letting us enjoy a nights stay {and more cousin play} at your house on the way back. otherwise i don’t know how well i could have done that drive home…

this seriously goes so fast. your birthday morning was a sweet one as always. we woke you up for your birthday breakfast before heading off to another flag football game.
what a fun day we had together as a family. just celebrating you and all the things that you love. another game day down and an afternoon at gattiland. you ate and played all you could. we then went home and watched a little more football before having your texan themed birthday party at the house 🙂
you are really an awesome kid. so thankful for you and the s i x years of fun and love you have brought to our family.

ak was so excited to go to her first little concert… she danced her little heart out.
afterwards we made a fun day out of it and headed out to enjoy a little hill country afternoon, ice cream and all.

we feel so blessed to be able to find this small town church. father justin will be going back to nigeria in mid july. he has made such an impression on all of our hearts. he has truly been a servant for christ. we will miss him so much!

i cant believe these last few years have gone by so fast. the monday before easter, samuel had his yearly eye exam with our favorite eye doctor. his prescription has changed just a tiny bit in one eye, but the doctor thinks he could use a little more wear and tear on his glasses before we get a new pair. samuel you did so great. you had a hard time with eye drops but quickly bounced back. i have loved watching you fill in these glasses. they fit you so well now. i’ve noticed recently how you want them immediately when you wake up or get out of the bathtub. you are such a big boy now and realize how much they help you! i also love when you draw yourself and make sure that you have your glasses on in the picture. you melt our hearts big time kid.
since the appointment was the monday before easter, we made a week of it and hung out in bc. mama got out and was able to visit with some of her best friends
{ didn’t get many pics to prove it, but memories are better 🙂 }
we enjoyed some rather cool afternoons that week, along with one sick day for jack 🙁
these guys made the best of the crazy week. so thankful for the two years samuel has had his glasses, for yet another good eye doctor visit, for the visits with friends i miss so much and thankful for these babies who keep me on my toes.

i seriously love this vocation. the highs and the lows and the times i just need to escape for a bit.
i tell daddy all the time it is my dream job and i couldn’t be more thankful for all i’m learning from you babies.

what a fun weekend we had. friday night granny and aunt colleen came up so daddy and i could sneak away to his christmas party…

the rest of the weekend we spent preparing the house a little more for christmas…
and anna kate also had her first visit from st. nicholas!
she was pretty thrilled st. nicholas skipped the chocolate coins and candy canes and went with a little toothbrush for those gums of hers…
christmas is only a few weeks away. we are making our list and checking it twice… 😉
