we’re all in the same boat . . .

we did it! after much anticipation we were able to get together this summer and head to the beach! jack and samuel we might have lost you and your cousins to the switch and raiding the pantry at times, while anna kate was busy playing with emily and ella taking over the rooms and balconies. yall enjoyed fishing a little bit with kent and riding the waves when they got a little rougher. emma was there to take you to the pool at the end of the week. maximilian you were pure joy to watch out there. i’m surprised you didnt grow your own fins. you tried to swim away from us any chance you got.

we celebrated many things. josephs graduation, granny’s birthday, anna kates s i x t h birthday and even bryans birthday. we celebrated mustaches, no sting rays this year and happy toddlers in the water. thirty five of our favorites all together, we definitely missed the missing seven. we are so blessed to be able to do what we did! god is good! already looking forward to the next time we can sink our toes in the sand together.

summer road trip

we headed to kansas city! it has been years since we have been and definitely years since mama has traveled by car up there. i braved it. it was so great! we had many stops and adventures along the way. we stayed in arkansas on our trip up there and we were able to stay with holly and her family on the way back in oklahoma. it is so neat to see all the different sites our beautiful america has to offer. we ran into some pretty amazing people along the way too. people offering to help us and then a breakfast covered by a sweet couple sitting near us. people are pretty amazing if they choose to be. 🙂

mama enjoyed keeping the kids at kindles fort while daddy went out and helped with the firework tents. jack and samuel helped on a occasion too. it was crazy over there so they say, but i don’t know how it compared to the crazy at her house.

schools out it’s summer { 2021 }

hooray! the boys were so excited to finish up a real year with rca. they ended the year with field day and celebrated the first communicants for the year. we are truly blessed to be apart of this little school. that following weekend we celebrated samuels first holy communion. it was so beautiful! hollys family came and stayed the following week to kick off summer! lots of memories are in the making 🙂

spring sprung!

spring was packed with school and our first go at spring season football! daddy also had a season of rugby so it made our weekends pretty exciting. maximilian you got your first official hair cut. that was adventurous! we enjoyed meet ups with friends that we dont always get to see, which made mama’s heart so happy! we celebrated Easter weekend out in brazos country. samuel received the sacrament of reconciliation for the first time which was so special. we finished up first communion preparation right before the end of the semester. we did a lot of growing and learning. we enjoyed the seasons changing and things warming up 🙂 what a season!

peppa pig! it’s your favorite and ours too! on your second birthday you got your very own pair of red rain boots to jump in muddy puddles. after the busy holidays we enjoy celebrating you at our home. this year gramps and granny, nana and dana and her family joined us in celebrating the sweet little guy you are.

at two years old you are an adventurous little man. always trying to keep up with the big kids. you still havent had your first official hair cut but its coming soon! you love peppa pig, lightening mcqueen and dinosaurs. you are quite the talker and love music! your current favorite song is mr. blue sky still and you really enjoyed all the christmas music we just had playing. you love chic fi la, chic fi la sauce and any bag of chips. you are also a lover of fruit!

mama and daddy still let you stay up a little later each evening to watch a peppa pig or two together.

this christmas was so what we all wanted and needed. we were ready for the end of 2020 and we just wanted so badly to be safe and all together. again God provided. we soaked up every bit of our time together and mama and daddy even were able to get away for our twelfth anniversary!! the christmas season is one of my absolute favorites and as you kids get older it is even more exciting to watch you get excited to decorate and remember traditions from years before. i pray most of all that as you enjoy preparing all the things you also make sure to prepare your heart most of all.

fall of 2020

the fall of 2020 took off pretty quickly, like many we were nervous of what was to come but we found the key to enjoying every bit of it. we let go and let God. fear tactics didnt work on us. 🙂 we had a fourth grader, a second grader, a kindergartener and an almost two year old ready to keep each day busy. the kids enjoyed another semester at school, a full season of football and a new year in dance. we enjoyed eating out as a family again and even a few date nights. the boys had a car hotwheels themed birthday with joshua, turning 8,10 and 13! God is so good. He blessed us immensely this fall. xxoo

just what we needed! we got a different cabin than we had before, unexpectedly and it was great as ever. these little ones know how to have fun. maximilian you wanted to keep up so badly and you really did. you are the only one at this age to willingly jump, splash and float along. we enjoyed late nights and eating almost every meal outside. you all make me want to go back again. you’re the best family to vacation with. now we say goodbye to 2020 summer. we definitely made the best of it!
