ak was so excited to go to her first little concert… she danced her little heart out.
afterwards we made a fun day out of it and headed out to enjoy a little hill country afternoon, ice cream and all.

we feel so blessed to be able to find this small town church. father justin will be going back to nigeria in mid july. he has made such an impression on all of our hearts. he has truly been a servant for christ. we will miss him so much!

joshua tyler {first communion weekend}
what a great weekend we were able to have together. chad came into town for work and was able to surprise joshua for his special weekend. of course we made such great memories this weekend 🙂

another ball game weekend in the books. the weather couldn’t be more perfect here. and our player got to play catcher for the first time. to say he was excited would be an understatement.

we are getting artsy on the magna doodle. like all the time. samuel, i could watch you draw all day. i kind of do. you take your time and try and try again till it really looks the way you want it. mike wazowski is your favorite person to draw…
jack, i think samuels love for drawing is rubbing off on you. you are much more proud of your work and we are all so excited that you are writing new letters. you discovered you could do it all by yourself when you drew a basketball game with ut vs tcu. this is a picture of you mad that ut lost a game. you and your sports crack me up…
the thing to do outside these days is make mud pie. it is an all day kind of event. well, because mama isn’t letting you back in the house till you are ready to take a bath…

about a month ago daddy called me up and asked if he could take jack to a ut basketball game. its jack’s new hobby, all. things. basketball. seeing as how we have a crazy semester going on, i asked if we { me, samuel and ak} were invited too. i told daddy it could be a fun family trip, despite who was playing basketball :p …. it really was a great day. the kids were awesome and we all had a great time! anna kate, you were a trooper.
and jack, you were in heaven. samuel you were probably the best little brother to hang out all day, in a burnt orange shirt, just for jack.

when i look at my pictures on our phone i realize it doesn’t look like we are very busy….
but with daddy in school this semester it seems that the weeks are jam packed and flying by pretty fast… over valentines day weekend, family came to town and we snuck out for a double date with dana and mike. on saturday, daddy bbq’d and us girls snuck off to shop a little. it was such a fun weekend!

first time for everything..
i find it strange that the more kids i have the harder it is to leave that baby. sweet anna kate at four months i finally separated myself from you for more than an hour…
you were in great hands though 🙂
what a fun weekend we had. friday night granny and aunt colleen came up so daddy and i could sneak away to his christmas party…

the rest of the weekend we spent preparing the house a little more for christmas…
and anna kate also had her first visit from st. nicholas!
she was pretty thrilled st. nicholas skipped the chocolate coins and candy canes and went with a little toothbrush for those gums of hers…
christmas is only a few weeks away. we are making our list and checking it twice… 😉
