seven!  seven years with this little dude. you have truly surprised me this year.  you have come out of your shell and you just really enjoy things!  you now love to draw and have been working really hard in your school work.  writing and reading is getting much easier for you.  daddy and i love watching you when we go places.  you just soak it all in and reassure everyone how great it is.

jack, at seven years old you are set on being a football player when you grow up. your favorite food is macaroni and cheese.  your favorite thing to play is anything sports related.  you love your family so much it makes our heart so happy.

catechesis of the good shepherd

along with the other activities we have this fall im excited to share this is jacks fourth year in catechesis of the good shepherd and samuels second.  after all these years of falling in love with this program i finally am able to step in it myself.

{anna kate has visited a few times but i think next year will be great for her}  🤗 

i was so excited to snap a few photos of what goes on in our atrium! the Holy Spirit is truly at work in here.  i am so thankful God has given us the opportunity to be a part of it again.

this fall…

they are doing it all… no one can even say the words “there’s nothing to do.”  we are doing plenty 😂  they definitely aren’t alone with anything it’s all for one and one for all! busy but fun filled days in and out of this house!

daddy thirty -three {let’s go camping!}

we surprised daddy with a wolverine party,  a huge spicy hamburger and tons of legos to build for his birthday this year.


what would we do without him! so grateful for another birthday with him and all the new adventures we take together.  we left the following weekend for a birthday in a cabin in new mexico. it was a great break from the intense heat in west texas.  we also just loved getting away from the norm too!  it was so much fun and so good for all of us to enjoy new scenery together.

you are getting so big so fast.  our baby boy!  you have always kept up with jack and it seems more apparent these days just how “you” you are.  you love using your imagination and playing games.  you love getting messy without even meaning to.  you are always thinking.  you can be very caring at the best times.  deep down i think you really do always think of others first.   you are shy to try new things and very proud of yourself once you do it.  we love who you are samuel.  you are one awesome kid.  now stop growing up so fast please!!

BC summer trip {2017}

well, we made our yearly summer trip to bc  joining in with our cousins for a week and a half.  we packed in as much fun as we could!  from vbs, to late night evenings, a birthday party or two and our annual frozen yogurt date with the whole crew. we had a blast and ended up leaving on grannys birthday…

oh boy do we love this girl.  thank you to everyone who celebrated her 2nd birthday with us.  this girl is a hoot.  at two years old she keeps us busy with running off to explore and be very independent.  she demands music all the time.  her loves right now are moanna, trolls and chic fi la.  she also really loves her family and we are so happy about that because we love her more than words can say.  happiest birthday party to you sweet girl. you are the best.

vbs 2017

we were so excited and a little nervous to have our very own vacation bible school with our cousins.  it was exhausting as well as a blast just like the ones at church!  granny ordered pieces to the one they were having at our church.  since it’s the 100th year anniversary of Fatima the kids hopped on the Queen of Heaven Express and tracked Mary all over the world.  it was such a fun time and a vbs the kids will remember for sure!

it’s been such a fun summer. i can’t believe this weekend has already come and gone… we kept it simple and stayed in.  we made lots of yummy food, had lots of dance parties and watched a few storms pass through.   the boys declared this was “the best day ever.”   they are so awesome…
