the ol’ frio trip { summer 2017 }

so with the extra far move away from best friends last summer, we made the best of a mini vacation.  there’s no reason for them to travel all the way here to us.  so we figured out a way to both get a mini vacation with traveling about the same distance.  and we actually did it!   we headed down to concan for a three night stay.  there was lots of sunshine, lots of splashing and of course lots of fun with our babies  🙂









we enjoyed every bit of it!  we already want to go back.  so happy these crazy kids actually got to know each other.

we tried to entertain them the best we could in west texas.  but it turns out the most fun we had were the laughs we got out of all of it.   love this family to the moon and back!  thanks for making the long haul to get here!   memorial day weekend {2017} is in the books for now ….

jack your kindergarten year is finished!   the kids all worked so hard to the very end!  we had a lot of fun,  cried a little and maybe even learned a little  ;p

you love math the most.  you are reading but you are in denial about it.   you are an awesome kid, jack.  and probably one of my favorite kindergarten students ever this year.

brothers on the same. baseball. team.   i told daddy this is about as good as it gets!  next year we will be running around like crazy!   we had such a fun year with jack and samuel on the same team.

you boys improved so much!  it was a great group of kids with such sweet families.    hopefully we will get to play again with them in the future!

holy week missions {2017}

celebrations, cousins, firsts, kids, phone pics, weekend in pictures

what an awesome opportunity God gave us this past holy week and easter weekend!  our cousins in kc participated in family missions and invited us to join them!  it was a very busy weekend but oh my goodness so beautiful!  the families were able to clean up the church grounds, visit the near by nursing home and assisted living and also collect canned goods during door to door missions.   we celebrated easter vigil mass with many tired babies in our two rows at church but it was so worth it.   easter sunday was not like the ones we had celebrated before.   we enjoyed taking our time throughout the day and watching the kids play together.  we ate a very late easter lunch and it made for the best memories!   thank you kindle and kent for hosting us and letting us take part in such a special event at your parish.


also thank you to holly and travis for letting us enjoy a nights stay {and more cousin play}  at your house on the way back.  otherwise i don’t know how well i could have done that drive home…

so excited and relieved to see this toothless smile and yet at the same time i realize he’s going to be changing so fast!  not even all the sports you play could knock out these front teeth jack anthony.  thank goodness you helped your dentist count to five to get the job done 🙌🏼.   you are so darn cute.

samuel,  my little guy with the biggest heart!  you are close to 4.5 now and becoming so independent.  it is so exciting to watch you.  you love your speech class and your classmates.  you get excited to tell me all about it.  we have learned that you can love with all your might and you can also fight with all your might.  when you don’t want to do something, it has us sending you to your room to get over it.  sometimes it takes a very long time (compared to the way your siblings would handle that punishment).  you keep us on our toes and challenge us that’s for sure.  you also teach us to slow down and enjoy the cuddles ❤️. 


you are one cool kid samuel fulton.  we are so very blessed to call you ours.
