wrapping up summer 2016

the month of july was the busiest month this year by far. we ended our summer with saying goodbye to our favorite parish priest. oh my goodness father justin, if he only knew how much he was missed. we headed out for vacation bible school with the cousins. we had a surprise visit from mamas sister. we bought our first suburban and had a birthday to remember for granny. oh yes, and after all of it was over we made a move further out to west texas.

it was so. extremely. exhausting. but the memories were totally worth it. so very thankful for all the blessings this summer, seen and unseen. i look forward to a new fall season ahead. we have a new house and our very first school year to start!

as the movers were invading the house, i thought yay! we still have my bed, we can do her last monthly picture. so as busy as you were i snapped a few. it doesnt show any of the chaos around us. this is the first time i thought how much i’ll miss this. mainly because we were leaving this photo spot behind us too. when we moved in we found out we were expecting you. now here you have your first birthday and we are packing up and moving out. this went way too fast. this was a very hard move for this mama but i’m slowly learning to detach myself and focus on whats most important. 🙂 sweet girl at one year, you werent quite walking yet. you waited until the next week to take a few steps and then you went non- stop. there was nothing gradual about it. you are a busy body now. at one year you still slept in mama and daddys room. in a pack in play of course :p but yes guilty as charged, you were our roommate until about a month after the move. i dont regret it at all. you are a silly little girl who is more into playing with people instead of toys. you love food. you love m&ms. we still arent sure what you are allergic to but you breakout occasionally having us all scratch our heads. you still love music and will dance forever if it is on. it is one of my favorite things about you. you can say “jack jack” “dada” “mama” and “ya.” you are our joy. everyone wants to be around you. you are the best. we love you birthday girl.

birthday girl get away…

anna kate, on your actual birthday, you woke up at gramps and grannys house and we celebrated with donuts before our cousins headed back home and we headed out for one more day of vacation.

we stopped in fredericksburg to enjoy some family time and relax before our big move. we all enjoyed some pool time and a yummy dinner. you barely made it past dinner time and the boys each bought you a gift on main street 🙂 these gifts coudn’t have been more perfect for you.

what a fun day we had together! we hope your year ahead is full of adventure and lots more love!

what a beautiful day to celebrate you baby girl… a rainbow in the sky to show just how loved you are 🙂 lots of little friends came to play including your cousins! you enjoyed bubbles and a little bounce house and just being barefoot in the summer grass. most of all i think you enjoyed your very first cake.

we came back from vacation and we were exhausted. but daddy still barbecued 🙂 and we enjoyed sleeping in our own beds! whoohoo!

slow down little miss!

at eleven months you are busy. we didn’t get to do all the photos mama loves to do because of this so called busyness. you are trying to stand on your own. when you take someones hands you try to run off with them. you are silly girl. you love to make us laugh with random out bursts of your gibberish. you love to eat. you love to sit forever in your high chair and munch on anything and everything. you mostly love meat and fruit. you still love to dance and bounce. however, you are getting a little braver at trying to jump. it makes me so nervous. you are a joy. we really could probably snuggle with you all day. we have big things ahead just as you are about to turn one year. i’m hoping it doesn’t make this time go too fast. you are precious in every way baby girl. here’s to eleven months!

it’s only thirty-three people in one beach house for one whole week…..

what could possibly happen? a lot actually. a few birthday celebrations, an anniversary, a graduation party, a gender reveal and of course just fun late nights and lazy afternoons on the beach. w a r n i n g … this post is mainly pictures {which most of my posts are 🙂 } but this one is extreme. because so many memories were made in this house and we tried our best to capture it all when we weren’t too sandy or holding babies…
