sometimes love can make you do crazy things…

about a month ago daddy called me up and asked if he could take jack to a ut basketball game. its jack’s new hobby, all. things. basketball. seeing as how we have a crazy semester going on, i asked if we { me, samuel and ak} were invited too. i told daddy it could be a fun family trip, despite who was playing basketball :p …. it really was a great day. the kids were awesome and we all had a great time! anna kate, you were a trooper.

and jack, you were in heaven. samuel you were probably the best little brother to hang out all day, in a burnt orange shirt, just for jack.

are here…

oh man this february weather is too awesome. we had to go out for day t w o to soak up some more sun.

three happy kids at the park is pretty irresistible…

anna kate it was your first time to swing! oh it was such a joy to watch you. you of course could not contain your smiles.

jack, you brought your basketball and made quite a few shots. you played more on the court than the playground! so fun to watch you do replay after replay and all your slow motion shots 😉

and samuel… sweet boy, if pig pen was a real person i think it would be you. you are all about being barefoot and getting dirty. you want to explore everything you can get your hands on. a day at the park and we are blessed enough to come home and still enjoy the outdoors…

we have quite the mural on the driveway but it looks pretty awesome. there are lots of funny faces and new letters that jack is exploring in writing. the teacher in this mama is having too much fun watching that! i know it is quite a few weeks away but i’m looking forward to the longer evenings already!

when i look at my pictures on our phone i realize it doesn’t look like we are very busy….

but with daddy in school this semester it seems that the weeks are jam packed and flying by pretty fast… over valentines day weekend, family came to town and we snuck out for a double date with dana and mike. on saturday, daddy bbq’d and us girls snuck off to shop a little. it was such a fun weekend!

anna kate frances its your h a l f birthday!

yep i’ll say it again. this goes way. too. fast.

at six months you have 2 new bottom teeth. you are basically a pro at sitting. you will do everything you can to get the television remote control. this includes scooting like crazy. you are a go getter for sure! you love jumping. we recently got you a johnny jumper and you are quite the performer in it. you still are a great nurser …even in the night 😉 you got your ears pierced hopefully for the first and last time 😉 . you recently started panting like a dog when you get excited over seeing something. jack gets a kick out of that. you start to giggle when others do. you love the boys company and already love watching them play upstairs. daddy and i are constantly asking each other

we got teeth growing in and teeth falling out.

we are working so. hard. on potty training samuel.

let’s just say you are challenging us good son.

grad school just got real. for daddy and us.

we are gearing up for a new tball season

and curious about whether one will wait another year to start soccer….

and all the new adventures that come with a skilled new sitter and emerging scooter…

never a dull moment. at. all.

i seriously love this vocation. the highs and the lows and the times i just need to escape for a bit.

i tell daddy all the time it is my dream job and i couldn’t be more thankful for all i’m learning from you babies.

quick trip

daddy started a new semester and we went along for the ride on his first week back.

the boys got some play time in with cousins and us girls got to do some shopping 🙂

and we also snuck in some ear piercing! oh anna kate, that was by far the saddest cry i have ever heard from you, but it also ended quickly as granny gave you your first sucker. 🙂

that night we celebrated gramps’ birthday { a few days late } 🙂

as quick of a trip it was, we packed in so much to celebrate!

happy birthday to papaw…

last year we surprised papaw with balloons and a birthday cake for his birthday. we remembered how much he loved those balloons so this year after celebrating his birthday at mass we decided we could still send him balloons….

jack was a little hesitant at first. but he decided he wanted to draw a picture on his balloon before he sent it. i have to say i haven’t seen the boy so excited to see the balloons disappear. he kept running outside to check on them. the last time he came inside the house he had a smile from ear to ear and asked “do you think everyone in heaven is trying to catch those balloons?”
