anna kate,  our little cranky franky… as we sometimes need to say.  you are the sweetest thing!   at three months old, we are finally to a stage where you are pretty smiley.  you love to talk and we love to listen!   you are still our roomy and i’m not really planning a date for you to move out yet.   i’m a little attached ok?  the boys are still head over heals for you and you are for them too!   our favorite thing is to watch you watch them.  you get so excited. you take lots of cat naps during the day still and sometimes surprise us with a long one.  it is never predictable.  ever.  you did very well on you first road trip out of state.  however, since we got back you can barely make it to the store.  i’m just going to pray that passes.   i  can’t believe how much you changed this month.   your personality is growing all the time.  it looks like it’s going to be a fun one 🙂

when we got back to bc from our trip we spent a day to recoup.  however, that evening the boys ran fever.  but that wasn’t the worst.   jack, normally when croup strikes you it happens in the 3 am to 4 am time span.   i knew you didn’t sound good but by 4:30 am you were sleeping rather peacefully.   that quickly changed by 9:30am and before 10:30 am we were out the door…

strider at rest was what they diagnosed you with.  they also said the oh so familiar… “you are too old for this one buddy!”  fortunately, we received great care and headed on back home that very same day.  exhausted but we made it.  and by monday….

the day after the boys birthday party,  bailey was my partner in crime and helped me make the trip up to oklahoma to surprise holly for emily’s first birthday.  unfortunately,  we were surprised ourselves when holly said she couldn’t be around us because she had just been running a fever that afternoon 🙁 .   luckily, all we got were bad allergies and complete exhaustion.  🙂  but the kids had a blast and we had so much fun celebrating this little sweet heart…

{hello two months}

anna kate, two whole months and i can’t even remember what life was like before you!

you are adding some thickness to those thighs..  oh my!  at two months i say you are gaining weight very well.  your hair that fell out on top so quick is also growing in quick too!  i’m kinda excited about that one 🙂   you take alot of cat naps.   you love love love to be held.   only a few certain ways.    you are giving some smiles and some “coos”  you love your new mobile in your crib.  you are intrigued by the mobile on the mamaroo.  you can’t take anymore of the clown on your bouncer.

jack anthony, at five years old,  you are the best big brother that samuel and anna kate could ask for.   we are blessed to have you at home for one more year of full time playing. 🙂  you and samuel are best buds and anna kate can count on endless kisses and snuggles from you.  you love all things avengers, all things football (especially houston texans and texas longhorns) you also love all things racing cars.   you ask daddy to play football as soon as he gets home.  you are notorious for asking for a snack or something to drink.   we tease you that you are the puppy on 101 dalmations… “but mama i’m hungry” 🙂  you started a gym class this fall and i’m loving watching you try new things and test your strength.   you love creating forts. you love your stuffed animals.  you still love your thumb.  your favorite cartoons are peppa pig and paw patrol.  you have decided you are a texas longhorn.  you have a huge heart and determination that grows every day.

you are a really awesome kid.

we set out to check on our eyes with our favorite eye doctor.  this time it was your first time jack.  you did awesome.   we found out your vision is great and that one pupil is smaller than the other which may cause that heavy eyelid we notice sometimes.

we made it on the train!  jack was a pro at answering all the “thomas the train” facts.   jack, you had mama and daddy laughing so hard because you knew all the answers and were very proud to shout them out.  it has been so long since we have watched thomas.  you did an awesome job!
