a busy season in life it seems like but i hear it will get way busier as they get older. we are so not ready for that yet. for now we are wrapped up in baseball practices, games, working on our schoolwork, loving our newest little man and exploring our new home and all the new springtime growth!

february is the month for love! What wondrous love is this!

daddy’s new job allowed him plenty of time off to spend with the kids and help me out during the new transition as a family of six ❤️.
besides the crazy nights of very little sleep, the boys also started their baseball season! i think the idea of the practices and flu season wore this mama out.
i couldn’t be more thankful for the time of rest i was able to have with max.
maximilian you are a tricky little one, you had mama and daddy very busy this first month. we were very curious to know what made you tick. you are a feisty one. at times, i joked that you must think you are an only child or something just like the rest of them 😜 after questioning many things about your little personality the doctor suggested i take a break from dairy. wow, within four days we noticed a little calm baby for moments at a time. you are still a very serious little man sometimes happiest facing out and looking at the floor. whatever the situation is you let us know how you feel. but my goodness we couldn’t love you more. youre the best gift we could ever ask for.
the day we have been waiting for for almost two years came in HIS perfect timing of course. because of the distance of the hospital our doctor had us set up for an induction on a tuesday, not my first pick but it was earlier than my due date so i was thrilled. we knew max was scheduled for this day unless he came on his own for weeks. it wasn’t until after i had received my epidural that daddy was looking at his phone and said we have to name him maximilian! today is maximilian kolbes actual birthday!
and so on january 8, 2019 we welcomed maximilian augustine

it was an amazing and easy delivery! we cannot be more grateful for our doctor and her care. we could also not be more thankful for having family close by again. our new big brothers and big sister loved every bit of their time with family before welcoming our maximilian home after a few days.
maximilian augustine you were worth the wait! we love you more than you know.

a last trip to the store
and we met family to hand off the big kids so we could get a good nights rest before waking up at four a.m to head in for induction. where else do we celebrate but lupes 🎉
it was crazy to head back to the house without the kids and just have nothing to do! the house was spotless and everything was ready for our newest little member of the family…

i feel so bad how late this post is and the lack of pictures too! hoping i can turn things around soon and get my act together! let’s just say im soaking up more of these days than snapping pictures…
christmas was so quick this year with family since we didn’t have any other celebrations to squeeze in like last year 😂…
we were able to enjoy Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with gramps and granny and all the cousins and then on Christmas Day we enjoyed a yummy dinner with Nana 🙂
we rung in the new year with family at our new home! we stayed up way too late but it was so much fun!
we are so happy to be closer to family and friends it still doesn’t seem real! we are also so happy to ring in 2019 with them and welcome our new little guy in just a few short weeks!!

yes, i think it’s necessary and oh so typical! it’s not that i haven’t wanted to hop on and give all the updates and my favorite pictures it’s just that….
first, my computer was dying, so surprised me and lovingly got me a new computer! i was so excited and of course still am, except it’s completely different in working with my pictures. it’s something i need to work at. 🙈
oh and the bigger news, we picked up and moved across texas to be closer to family and also to have new opportunities for our own little family.
so to catch us up, between september and december 🤗 …
the boys learned to swim safely!
we did lots of fun activities/field trips with our friends ❤️
it was the first time to have two boys in football! it was a great season …
we celebrated jack’s 8th birthday and samuels 6th!!
we celebrated our saints, trick or treating and thanksgiving festivities too!
we said goodbye to west texas and hello houston! we were lucky enough to have family to stay with till our house was ready …
it’s been crazy and super stressful at times but God has had His hand in it every step of the way. as we are getting ready for Christmas, we are overcome with excitement and so so grateful for all of His blessings throughout these past few exciting months. it is a crazy feeling to leave such good friends on one side of the state and come back to old friends and family with open arms. life is beautiful. we feel so loved and look forward to sharing this awesome feeling with the new little man max after the new year!

we were in shock at the appointment! but shortly after being able to call him by name, we are over the moon in love with this little guy! so excited that God is entrusting us with another little boy!

more students, more fun! we started our school year with all new curriculum. we even already had a field trip to the local candy factory. football is getting started up for both boys and they are pretty excited! so far they have been hard workers and excited about getting their work done. our goal for the year is rhythm and routine. we have a busy year ahead!

a little weekend get away with cooler temps was just what we needed…
we found another great vbro for daddy’s birthday weekend. enjoyed dinner out and hiking for the day. sunday morning we walked to church and jack got a special treat, he was asked to ring the bell when mass began. the kids enjoyed a breakfast treat on the porch when we packed up.
