look who decided to join us at the table.
he’s also sleeping in his o w n room (almost) every night this week.
oh. i love you… like crazy my growing boy!
xxoo
this last weekend aunt dana and aunt holly attended an ACTS retreat together. so lucky us got to play with cousins out in bc.
i wish i could have had more pictures than this but boy did you all keep us busy!
this was seth’s first weekend away from his mommy! he did so good! just look at this little love, oh he is so precious!
he loved being on the swing. big brother braedon almost had him fall asleep on him.
we really couldn’t have asked for better weather! it was beautiful!

that night he almost fell asleep in the high chair but finally dosed off in granny’s arms. he and granny sure were buddies for the weekend!
we enjoyed a whole extra day outside together with a picnic too! it was so fun to have sydney around. she could turn into any princess character at any time. quite talented! we enjoyed her singing and dancing!
oh andrew is quite the entertainer as well 🙂 cheese!
it was a special weekend for everyone! lots of fun with cousins at granny and gramps house and a wonderful break for holly and dana to be with our lord!
wish we could have more weekends like this more often!
xxoo
and happy as can be.
could you seriously get any cuter? i think not.
at five months you love to smile a very gummy smile.
you are “cooing” up a storm when you are happy and you are happy when someone is always nearby.
samuel you have quite the personality. it is a very sweet smiley boy who l o v e s to be held. if we put you down there are instant tears. you are attached to me and well, i’m a little attached to you. i’m working really hard on having you sleep in your own room this month. okay it has only been 1 night so far. we are trying night 2 as i am typing right now.
you are waking up a few times still in the night but you go right back to sleep. you love to sleep in but jack usually comes to give you kisses and “ugs” to wake you up. you have new spots to hang out in, in the house, like a high chair and bumbo seat. it will be exciting to see how soon you try to sit up, you are still a little wobbly. 🙂 you are starting to reach for more toys to your side which tells me rolling may be in the near future for you. you try to grab anything in reach including your brother. he just laughs and says “hey what sam doodin?”
your smiles make every day better and better. every month that is going by i am in disbelief. you are a growing little guy and life with you is about to get pretty busy as you start to make new moves and try new things! we love you little buddy!!
here’s to another amazing month!
xxoo
the first week of april is always a good one, especially when we celebrate aunt dana’s birthday!
you two boys were the lucky tag alongs…
jack, just like a year ago your eyes were huge when the staff came to sing happy birthday to dana. however this year, after the song, you quickly tried to sing your own rendition 🙂
you did fairly well at the table so you were able to get some play time in after we ate.
and sam, you just looked cute as always…
happy birthday dana! we love you!
xxoo
we love our state of t e x a s
and her beautiful bluebonnets!
my boys, i’m sorry you might not have annual pictures with santa clause or the easter bunny, or even pumpkin patches . . .
but bluebonnets, i have decided, should be an annual picture event.
so a few sundays ago, daddy and i took you two for a mini family trip out to eat a bbq lunch and check out the blue bonnets along the way.
yes the bluebonnets were worth the drive 🙂
we may even be back again for a bluebell trip.
if not we will see them again next year!
xxoo
what a wonderful weekend it was too! our normal Easter weekend was changed up a bit but it was still a special one!
we just spent the weekend as a family of f o u r.
we enjoyed a neighborhood egg hunt, some yummy treats . . .
. . . and our first time to decorate some Easter eggs!
that saturday evening, daddy grilled some goodies outback and managed to let you play with the water hose 🙂
you enjoyed every bit of it.
on sunday morning our baskets were filled!
we attended Mass here at our church and YOU BOYS were so good! it could be the fact our seats were outside of the church 🙂 but we made the best of it! it was still beautiful as always.
trying to get pics of you boys. is. just. too. much.
after Mass we headed out to dana’s house for lunch and another egg hunt.
ohh those teenage girls 🙂 love them. they do their best in the kitchen!
papaw was able to stop by too!
samuel, you love your toes!!
jack, you love your cousins. this is the only picture you actually stood still for!
okay, so maybe boys don’t love flowers like mama’s do. i had to capture dana’s colorful arrangements!
the following pretty much sums up our chance at getting photos of our 2.5 year old and 4 month old . . .
a very happy and blessed easter to everyone we missed this weekend!

last week during what would be our spring break down here, we took a road trip to see my sister holly and her family.
granny and gramps were headed up there and we asked to join them! it was a quick trip but the little ones sure made the most of it. sydney is about 9 months older than jack and seth is eight months older than samuel. so holly and i got to play babies. it was so great to see them play so well together.
they played a l o t.
love her.
and these two. oh my. we will need to get these pics out when you guys head to college. 🙂
we were able to celebrate seth’s first birthday together. he is such a cutie! every night holly and i stayed up late, he was my hang out buddy.
he is super cuddly!
looking forward to the next time we see you guys!
🙂
yes, it’s only your f o u r t h month here in the real world and i’m running a little behind on the updates.
so in these pictures you are actually 4.2 months. don’t hold it against your mother please.
better later than never is what i think.
samuel fulton. i love you to pieces! i love calling you by your full name too. and no you have not been in trouble, i just really love your name. at f o u r whole months you are rolling over from your tummy to back. you are not too interested in what is going on, on either side of you. you grab anything in front of you, including my face, hand, arm ect. you drool like no other. you love your feet and i love that you love your feet. you have established your own bed time. this bedtime varies between 8-10pm. you have enjoyed waking up a little bit more in the night. but i have come to the conclusion, i’m okay with it. i still am not ready to move you out of our room. i know i’m crazy, but something tells me you might sleep by my side a little longer than jack did. i think you are totally fine with it. you love. love. love. to be held. you fall apart when i lay you down. if you wait just a little while you give up and decide to talk to yourself or your toys around you. i have snuck away lately for a date with daddy, some shopping and the rodeo. i think you are starting to notice my getaways because you are starting to only want to be held by me. daddy thinks its getting a little ridiculous, i however think with the amount of time i spend with you, i’d hope you would show me some recognition 🙂 you are getting nice and healthy in weight. i still think of you as tiny but. well. just look at those rolls. ah i love them.
this month has been a busy one. you had your first road trip. conveniently, you have decided the carseat is not really that fun. you also started hanging out in the bumbo seat. it’s been your new seat in the house when you are not being held.
here is to another fun month ahead of you sweet boy! loving every day we have together little buddy!
xxoo
earlier this week jack and i had a date together to the rodeo! this time he really enjoyed it!
he had a little more freedom to run around with a few of his cousins!
dana had called me a while back to ask if we would want to join them and a few homeschooling friends for their “field trip” 🙂
i couldn’t resist taking a few pictures the animals. the way they can look at you always makes me laugh.
jack i think this is the first time you had ever been so hands on with animals. you loved every bit of it.
we spent most of our day in the center checking out the exhibits. you are about to get an overload of pictures, but this is only about 1/4 of what was actually on our camera. yes. you guessed it. i was the crazy camera lady again. i was so happy to capture your pure excitement over the the animals. you really loved the bunnies and the baby chicks.
i really just wanted o n e picture with you…
but after multiple attempts, this is the best we got. one day i’ll get one, one day!
love these guys! we owe them big for chasing after you jack and carrying you around. 🙂
also thank you to dana, for capturing this beauty. ha! i couldn’t stop laughing at him. i even had to try to sneak in for a picture with him.
he obviously had more important things to do.
before we left we ran upstairs to look for erika’s photography they had displayed! so proud 🙂
and of course, the rodeo isn’t complete without an actual pony ride. jack you were a pro! you even gave me a “yeehaw!”
you fell asleep on our ride home but of course you were wide awake when we got to the house. we were both so excited to see sam!
he stayed at home and played with granny { thank you granny!! i wish i could have gotten a picture of you two!! }
i hope we can take both of you little cowboys next year!
it sure was a great time!
xxoo
this year, as scott hahn put it, we are having to give up pope benedict xvi for lent.
last week we watched his last day as pope. what a day to remember. i had to grab my camera to remind myself of what my day was like and of course to remember how little you were samuel. jack, you were watching cars 2 in our room. 🙂 you would occasionally come out to ask where the ‘clowns’ were (the guards).
praying for the weeks ahead as the holy spirit guides our cardinals in choosing the next successor of peter and of course always praying for emeritus pope benedict!
